DPP 2025 Predictions: 'Deploy or Die', AI romance is over, we're all copyright lawyers now, and power shifts to creator economy

Feb 27, 2025
28:58

The DPP 2025 Predictions report published in February 2025 shows an industry grappling with a new phase of artificial intelligence development and implementation in media, competition from the creator economy, stark cyber threats, an innovation recession, and a bullishness about the data monetisation opportunity. And these statements aren't made by the DPP themselves, but are instead produced by media experts who debate, vote on and co-create statements about the state of the industry.

In this episode we hear from ITN's Tami Hoffman and Zixi's Alan Young, both part of the experienced cohort who helped develop the statements, about which of the eight DPP 2025 Predictions resonated most with them, as well as provide some context and commentary about what it all means for media, news, broadcasting and entertainment.
