In this episode we go through the importance of building relationships. Relationships occur with borrowers, private capital investors, vendors, partners and even other hard money lenders.
One of the first things we did back in 2007 when we started was meet up with every other hard money lender in our market. We learned about their business, shared our lending model, figured out what deals they preferred compared to what deals we preferred and how we could potentially help each other in the future. You would be surprised how other lenders end up being more of your ally over your competition. Some lenders are looking for more deals while others are looking for more capital.
