It's interesting for me, I believe in soulmates, and I mean, like, yeah, you can have, you know, like a lot of good people that you have in your life.

But they're, but I think what they're thinking is they're thinking backwards, right? They're they met the right person. They built something together because that's the thing. That's the thing about marriage is that when you first get together, you have, there's a lot of you have to do a lot of work because you're you're, you're very you're you're still not.

Used to living together, you're different.

And you grow together as time goes by. And so I think after 20 years, you a lot of people say ohh, this is my soul mate. We were. It's destiny that we were together, but I think it's possible that we're compatible with lots of different people and that you when you meet someone that you're very compatible with.

And then you get married, you you become soul mates, but it's not destiny that brought you together. It's something that you built together. So.

So so I I might I'm changing the definition of soul mates. You know, my wife is my soul mate because we built something together that's very strong and beautiful. But to say that it was like magic that we were supposed to meet and it was destiny and fate. I don't really believe in Destiny and.

Well, here's the thing. Here's here's here's another reason. OK, I've been married almost 20 years. OK, which is a long time. Happily married. And my wife and I get along really well. We're best friends. She's well, she's like my only friend. Really. Except for my online friends.

Hang out with. I've known a lot of people who, you know, we're we're boyfriend and girlfriend or just married and they talk about we're soul mates. We're meant to be together now they're divorced.

You know what I mean? So I I never talk like that, but my wife and I just kind of keep our mouth shut and we just work hard on our marriage. Keeping it, you know, working together, working hard on the marriage, the relationship to make sure that our relationship is good over the long term. That's a little bit different than soul mates and destiny and.

Fate, right, dusty and fate is kind of like.

I'm gonna walk across the street and hopefully no car is going to hit me. And if a car hits me, that was fate. You know? Destiny. I I don't believe in that. You know, I think that's silly. I think you know, working at a marriage, working hard, continuing to cultivate the relationship and.

Is really important, otherwise your relationship can can fall apart. So I think even even friends of mine who's who thought ohh she's my soul mate. He's my soul mate and now they're divorced. They didn't put in the work and they weren't willing to make the sacrifices. So yeah.
