Beck has a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community and has written articles and papers directly addressing the need for training staff on LGBTQ+ communities. Beck has spoken nationally at various conferences regarding LGBTQ+ communities. He has over 12 years of personal recovery and continues to address concerns of equality and acceptance of LGBTQ+ in sober communities.

Beck shares his road to sobriety and the multiple ways in which he has come out over the years (sober, gay, and trans). Beck and Sarah discuss trauma, mental health, addiction and sobriety, but with their own unique ways of seeing the world...a little bit of sarcasm and a whole lot of laugher.
