Our Wild Farming Life: Adventures on a Scottish Highland Croft, Lynn Cassels explains more
In this podcast, Diana is joined by Lynn Cassels, farmer and owner of Lynbreck Croft. Lynn talks about her new book, Our Wild Farming Life: Adventures on a Scottish Highland Croft, where she explains her life with her partner, Sandra Baer and the journey they took to build their own business and produce their food. Lynn also talks about the struggles that farmers face, and how hard it was, in the beginning, to adapt to farm life.
About Lynn Cassels and Sandra Baer
Lynn Cassells and Sandra Baer met while working as rangers for the National Trust and soon realised that they shared a dream to live closer to the land. They bought Lynbreck Croft in March 2016 – 150 acres of pure Scottishness – with no experience in farming but a huge passion for nature and the outdoors. Now they raise their own animals, grow their own produce and are as self-sufficient as they can be.
Diana is currently interning with Irish Tech News. She graduated from Birkbeck University, with a degree in modern languages and she is currently doing a master's in Journalism at the University of Roehampton. She has an interest in technology and the environment.
