What I love About Selena

I so appreciate Selena's willingness to be vulnerable and move through discomfort to be of greater service in the world and go after her dreams. As a natural introvert, Selena Soo talked about how she got into the world of publicity and spoke on stage and in a public way. We talked real deal here about her struggle with depression, and in that search to feel better, she found coaches and incredible leaders in the personal growth world who changed her life. In this true desire to help others move through feelings of angst, depression, and trauma, she realized she wanted to help others feel supported and not alone through publicity, which led her to create her Impacting Millions program. Selena talked about how she has transformed perfectionistic thinking, and rather than grading herself on an impossible standard of perfection, she now asks herself these questions anytime she puts herself out there:

1. Did I show up generously?

2. Was I present? I think these questions are total game-changers for the way we reflect, review and often rate ourselves. In the end, it is all about being of greater service and being truly available, present, and generous.

Selena shared about breaking the silence when she was terrified to leave an emotionally abusive relationship that ended up becoming a total nightmare. She knew how alone life felt going through this trauma and believed that by sharing her story, she could help others identify and leave abusive relationships. Deep in her soul, she was clear that it was necessary to share what she had learned even amidst the fear of coming out about such a traumatic experience. The power of publicity was writing her story in an article that then touched hearts all over the globe.
