Lets talk about privilege. How do you succeed in life when you are born female, black and belong to one of the poorest most acutely affected areas by the armed conflict in Colombia?

Yineth Rentería´s life and career will tell you how. She is no ordinary changemaker. With only 22 years old, she is a professional accountant and recepient of many national and international awards, like a full scholarship to complete her undergrad and a Martin Luther King Jr. Fellowship.

At the time of the recording she was the director of operations of Mentor4U a startup where education, social innovation, entrepreneurship and youth leadership intersects. She is currently the National Leader for Mentoring at ICETEX (The Government of Colombia’s educational credit organization). Her goal is to become Minister of Education. Try stopping her.
