Loch Kelly, M.Div., LCSW is an author, a licensed psychotherapist and recognized leader in the field of meditation. He is the founder of the non-profit, Effortless Mindfulness Institute, and has worked in community mental health, established homeless shelters and counseled family members of 9/11 victims.
Loch has studied in Sri Lanka, India and at Columbia University. Loch collaborates with neuroscientists at Yale, UPenn and NYU in the study of how awareness training can enhance compassion and wellbeing. Loch is the author of, The Way of Effortless Mindfulness: A Revolutionary Guide for Living an Awakened Life, a book which Dr. Richard Schwartz, Founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS), says “brilliantly weaves together meditation, neuroscience and psychotherapy to truly support a compassionate awakening."
