

Interview with Composer Daniel Pemberton of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
On this SPECIAL EDITION of The Movie Podcast, Daniel and Shahbaz re-enter the Spider-Verse with Composer DANIEL PEMBERTON of SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE. Throughout his career, Daniel has worked with notable film directors and artists such as Aaron Sorkin, Ridley Scott, David O. Russell, Danny Boyle, Darren Aronofsky, Guy Ritchie, Mick Jagger, Drake, Iggy Pop, and Phil Lord & Chris Miller. Pemberton has been nominated for an Academy Award, won an Emmy Award and been nominated four times for a Golden Globe award and three times for a BAFTA Award. In 2021 he was nominated for the Academy Award For Best Original Song and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for the song "Hear My Voice" from the film The Trial of the Chicago 7 which was performed and co-written with Celeste. In 2018, Daniel Pemberton composed the music for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which implemented revolutionary blend of orchestral, electronic, and vinyl scratching. His latest work can be heard in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which is now playing exclusively in theatres by Sony Pictures.
