What constitutes the elements of a true gentlemanly education? In John Milton's Tractate on Education, he breaks this topic down and discusses his idea of what a true classical education should look like. A healthy amount of studies, mixed in with some exercise and a well-balanced diet to keep the students in good mental and physical shape. His educational plan is not for the faint of heart and most people will not have the patience to even attempt to obtain it nowadays but the details are there for anyone willing to pick up the sword and shield of education and battle their ignorance.
