All of Europe is talking about a massive increase in defense spending. But according to representatives of European defence companies, there is a gap between rhetoric and real measures. "In Europe, we are still moving at a peacetime pace. We are using peacetime purchasing and testing processes," says Jan Pie, head of the European Aerospace and Defense Industry Association (ASD), which represents more than four thousand European defense companies.
