The Toon kicked off the new Premier League in disappointing fashion, losing 4-2 at home to West Ham, and that despite holding the lead at half-time. The defence looked vulnerable, and we discuss how that might be addressed, whether through tactical changes or fresh personnel.

But, we're trying to be positive about things this season and Joe Willock brought a cheer to St James' Park at the weekend. The new signing was introduced to a full house and his mum made the most of a hearty welcome.
