Why Narcissists Never Really Hear You

Why Narcissists Never Really Hear You

A Live Workshop Episode with Lisa A. Romano, Breakthrough Life Coach

Have you ever spent hours, days, or even years trying to explain your feelings to someone, only to walk away feeling more confused, exhausted, and unheard?

Do you find yourself constantly repeating the same conversations, defending your reality, or wondering why nothing ever seems to change?

If so, you are not imagining things. And you are not asking for too much.

In this powerful live workshop episode, Lisa A. Romano explains why narcissists appear to listen but rarely hear what you are actually saying. Through deep psychological insight, trauma-informed awareness, and nervous system education, Lisa reveals how narcissistic communication is designed to keep you trapped in confusion, self-doubt, and endless circular conversations.

This is not about communication failure.

This is about understanding the game.

In This Episode You'll Discover:

🔹 Why narcissists keep conversations stuck in endless loops

🔹 How denial, deflection, and blame-shifting prevent accountability

🔹 Why healthy communication cannot exist without empathy

🔹 The hidden reason narcissists constantly move the goalposts

🔹 How childhood trauma conditions people to tolerate emotional manipulation

🔹 Why codependents keep trying to explain themselves to people who are not listening

🔹 The connection between narcissistic parents and adult relationship patterns

🔹 How gaslighting causes you to doubt your own reality

🔹 Why temporary acknowledgment is often used to end conflict, not create change

🔹 How living "above the veil" helps you see manipulation clearly

A Truth That Changes Everything:

The problem is not that you are failing to explain yourself.

The problem is that you are trying to be understood by someone who is invested in misunderstanding you.

Narcissists do not communicate to create connection.

They communicate to maintain control.

And once you understand the pattern, you stop wasting energy trying to win conversations that were never designed to be resolved.

This is not a personal failure.

This is a pattern.

And patterns can be changed.

✨ You are not too sensitive. ✨ You are not too demanding. ✨ You deserve relationships where understanding is mutual.
