S6 E4 | Art NFT Curation in a Bear Market w/María Paula Fernández

On this episode of Rehash, we’re speaking with María Paula Fernández, co-founder of JPG and a true OG in the NFT space, about living through another bear market, how to be a good web3 art curator, and new blockchain art projects that should be on your radar.

We catch up on what MP's been up to since our last recording together and how she’s been feeling amidst yet another crypto bear market - and notably one that feels different from previous bear markets she’s lived through. Even though overall sentiments are a bit low, I can always rely on Maria to bring some humor into the mix, as we come to the shocking realization that Michael Lewis is in fact the new Tom Cruise (tune into this episode and you’ll hear what I mean).

We then dive deep into the world of art curation and what the role of a curator is, especially in the web3 world. MP believes a good web3 curator is a good storyteller and a good educator, and we look at a new JPG exhibit, Generative Art Beyond the Algorithm, as an example of good curation.
