32. Talking All Things Stepmom With Dr. Patricia Papernow

I was thrilled to talk with Dr. Patricia Papernow in this episode. Dr. Papernow has taught about blended families all over the U.S. and the world. She brings forty years of clinical experience helping stepfamilies, and a solid grounding in the current research about what works (and what doesn't) to build a thriving, healthy "blended family."

Dr. Papernow is the author of Surviving and Thriving in Stepfamily Relationships: What Works and What Doesn't, and, with Karen Bonnell, The Stepfamily Handbook: From Dating, to Getting Serious to Forming a "Blended Family." You can find both books on my recommended list of stepmom resources HERE.

Dr. Papernow is a member of the Experts Council of National Stepfamily Resource Center and the recipient of the 2017 award for Distinguished Contribution to Family Psychology from the American Psychological Association.

A few of her appearances include Good Morning America, the Today Show, the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and many, many others. She graduated from Harvard University and earned a Doctorate from Boston University.
