Wenhui Zhou, MD, PhD reviews a recent AJR article which described a unique association of unexplained acute distal pancreatitis with subsequent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Awareness of this imaging finding may facilitate upfront endoscopic ultrasound sampling for early detection of pancreatic cancer.
