Happy 60th birthday (May 9th, 2022) to Dave Gahan, who as the lead singer of Depeche Mode since 1980, has enjoyed worldwide success. An amazing live band, Dave's voice, and stage presence are legendary, as is his brush with death. This is my memory of interviewing Dave Gahan for MTV in 1993.
