On this week's episode, the ladies chat with Kali Jenkins, a mom to 6 month old Indy and fellow 2L student with the ladies. Kali shares how she found out she was pregnant, and her experience with pregnancy during 1L. Pro Tip: use your pregnancy pillow to help you prop up your books to study! She then describes taking care of a newborn during school, and even shares her day to day schedule before and now. She gives GREAT advice on how to deal with the dreaded “mom guilt” and talks about the importance of giving yourself grace. Finally, the problem an absence of a pregnancy policy causes for women at their law school, and how that could be considered discrimination. This episode sheds light on the importance of talking about being a mom in law school!
