"How do I stay patient when progressing through the stages of business?

In the early stages, I hear a lot about getting validation, and validation feels like it can take forever. People get excited about doing avatar interviews but then book in a week or two away and I'm ready to do them now!

How do I know when I am being patient (waiting for clients/external something) vs blocking myself in some way by waiting for external input when I shouldn't?"

The way I summarise this is 'How do you know when it's time to take more action, and how do you know when it's time to sit and be patient?'
