Cameron Curry has an extensive background in business development before helping found The Classical Academy, a K-8 public charter school in Escondido, California, in 1999. In 2003, he co-founded Coastal Academy, a K-8 charter school in Oceanside, California, and in 2006, he co-founded Classical Academy High School in Escondido, California. The organization now has five sites serving over 3,000 kindergarten through 12th-grade students and has received numerous awards.

In 2011, Cameron received the Hart Vision Award from the California Charter School's Association (CCSA) as their Charter School Leader of the Year and now serves as a CCSA Board Member.
