NHL Preparing for Gary Bettman's Retirement | January 23, 2025

The Athletic revealed today that the NHL executive committee is planning for Gary Bettman's retirement. He spoke to the committee ahead of last month's Board of Governors meeting and let them know that it should be on their radar. This prompted the committee to begin a formal process to find his successor.
