Today’s guest, Eric LeGrand, is one of the biggest inspirations in sports, leadership, and perseverance. Eric is a former Rutgers football player and a renowned motivational speaker, sports broadcaster, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. During his junior year as a defensive tackle for Rutgers in 2010, Eric suffered a severe spinal cord injury while making a tackle and became paralyzed.
He joined us for Compete 2020 to share his experience and discuss how we can build
successful habits, persevere in the face of adversity, and build more inclusive cultures and organizations.
On today’s episode, Eric also shares some of the amazing things he’s accomplished over the past decade including writing the inspirational book “Believe: My Faith and the Tackle That Changed My Life,” and founding a charity. Eric’s charity, “Team LeGrand of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation,” raises money to find a cure for paralysis and improves the quality of life for people with spinal cord injuries.
