Hollywood has captured the events of the 1972 Andes plane crash in several iterations, but never like this. Roberto Canessa was one of the survivors and shares his experience like never before. He recalls spending 72 days on a snow-capped mountain surrounded by death and suffering. 

Forced to live off the flesh of the passengers who didn't make it is only one part of the nightmare. And yet- his darkest moments were met with glimmers of hope, awakened spirituality, and appreciation for what it means to be human.
