Following nearly a year of negotiations, the potential offer of millions in tax incentives for the local film industry, and a battle against Cincinnati and Sundance’s original home of Park City, Boulder ultimately won the bid. After decades in one place, what made this movie institution decide to head to Colorado? And what could it mean for our state’s existing film industry? We’re revisiting a conversation from earlier this year that host Bree Davies had with Ali Vallarta, the host of City Cast Salt Lake and former Sundance staffer, to talk about the potential impacts of this big move.
