The IVF Process with Jessica Manns
According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 6 couples struggles with infertility. Just because you’re struggling with conception doesn’t mean that your dreams of having a family can’t come true. There has been an increase in interest in in-vitro fertilization, or IVF. IVF is a medical procedure where an egg is fertilized by sperm outside of the body in a laboratory, and then the fertilized egg, or embryo, is transferred to a woman's uterus with the goal of establishing a successful pregnancy. There can be a lot of confusion when you’re starting this journey. That’s why we loved chatting on IG Live with Jessica Manns of @ExplainingIVF. Jessica is an Embryologist, IVF + Infertility Educator. During this Live, Jessica gave us an introduction to IVF, including what to expect and how it works. Plus, we discussed some of the mental health implications of IVF, what to ask your physician, and more.
