The Terrifying Cetus

The Cetus is a legendary sea monster from Greek mythology, often described as a massive, serpent-like creature with numerous tentacles that terrorized the kingdom of Ethiopia. It became infamous after Queen Cassiopeia made the mistake of boasting about her daughter Andromeda's beauty, prompting Poseidon to unleash the Cetus to punish her. In a desperate attempt to save their kingdom, Cassiopeia and King Cephas chained Andromeda to a rock as a sacrifice to appease the monster. Fortunately, the hero Perseus intervened, ultimately defeating the Cetus and rescuing Andromeda, marking a significant triumph over the monstrous creature in Greek lore.
