Ross and Max are slightly more cheerful today as they review the thrid day's play of the first test between Australia and England. England started the day needing to take three quick wickets, which they didn't quite manage, leaving them well behind. But finally they showed some spirit and Dawid Malan and Joe Root both ended the day unbeaten, with England 2 wickets down and *only* 58 runs behind.
