We talk with Carlo Peán, a beloved "remote" member of The Table, about our Sermon on the Mount series (Living the Politics of Jesus in a Partisan America), and how it intersects with a series of short stories he is writing that re-imagines the story of Jesus and the Sermon on the Mount in the context of a modern-day version of America called "The Roman Empire" that also has a secret alien race controlling things behind the scenes.
