Imagine you’re an investigative journalist and a judge asks you to read the transcripts of a 1987 murder case, explaining that the man they convicted is innocent and still serving time.

In 2018, Brooklyn-based, author, journalist, and podcaster, Gilbert King, read those transcripts and immediately felt compelled to find out more about convicted murderer, Leo Schofield and the victim, Leo’s wife, Michelle.
