Today on the show, we welcome executive producer Jonathan Benefiel to talk about his filmmaking career.

He sat down with our host, Giles Alderson, to talk about how he started out as an actor, why he then quit filmmaking and why and how he came back as a producer. He discusses making short films, the difference between a producer and an executive producer, mental health, pitching, and working on Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020) as an exec. He also talks all about his new film As They Made Us (2022), starring Dusting Hoffman, which is out now.
