This episode is a Re-Release of my talk with Dr. Alan Christianson. It is Thyroid Awareness month and thought it was perfect timing to re-release this super informative episode. Dr. Alan Christianson is a Naturopathic Endocrinologist who focuses on Thyroid function, adrenal health, and metabolism.

He has been actively practicing in Scottsdale since 1996 and is the founding physician behind Integrative Health. He is a NY Times bestselling author whose books include The Metabolism Reset Diet, The Adrenal Reset Diet, and the Complete Idiot's Guide to Thyroid Disease.

Dr. Christianson regularly appears on national media like Dr. Oz, The Doctors, and The Today Show.

In our episode we break down thyroid dysfunction, symptoms to look out for, hormones in relation to thyroid. He also provides his thoughts as to why my thyroid declined during my competition days and post competition days and how my adrenals played a huge part in my thyroid starting to dysfunction. He mentions something about NTIS (Non-Thyroidal Illness Syndrome) and how this it is possible that that is what was going on with me a years ago.
