What Made Scholars Like Ibn Taymiyyah So Great? | #2 Falling in Love With Reading #AMAU

An expert in accounting once learned about his own field from Ibn Taymiyyah. His knowledge reached so far beyond the subjects he is best known for that he was described as a library that could speak. How did the great scholars of Islam reach such a level?

In Episode 2 of How to Fall in Love with Reading, Sheikh Muhammad Huzaifah discusses Islam's emphasis on reading and seeking knowledge, alongside accounts of the scholars' eagerness to learn.

The discussion also turns to Ibn al-Jawzi's warning about a student who becomes impressed with his own opinions, and what this does to his ability to learn from others.
