When it comes down to eating disorders and disordered eating, there's a lot of confusion around what that actually means. Oftentimes people think they know what eating disorders are, and often approach it from a black and white perspective, when in reality it's actually a spectrum. When we can approach diet as a spectrum, we realize that we can learn to make peace with food. In today's episode I am talking to Dylan Murphy, a registered dietician and founder of Free Method Nutrition, who specializes in disordered eating and proper nutrition. Her philosophy aims to help her clients make peace with food. Dylan knows it can be overwhelming to establish a healthy relationship with food, and is on a mission to help women's health! During our conversation Dylan shares how she got into private practice and what fuels her passion for dietetics. She talks about labeling foods and diet as good or bad, what it looks like to make peace with food and how to change your language around food rather than fearing it. In this episode, we cover:
