縮短比賽時間已經是主流職棒聯盟必然努力的方向，MLB在今年將實施較去年更嚴格的規定、KBO也即將於今年直接在一軍仿效MLB的相關規定、而NPB也已在業餘開始測試，預計明年也會跟上MLB的步伐。
CPBL也將在今年正式開始施行縮短比賽時間的相關規定，雖然不是完全比照MLB的內容，但從無到有就是一大突破，並且要直接在一軍執行，必須要給鼓勵!
而在新規之下，投打跑都將面臨不一樣的挑戰與機會；突破僵局制的引進，更是能讓延長賽更有看點，讓整體比賽的品質能夠進一步地提升!
最後期望今年只是開始，明年或後年就能追上MLB的進度，讓CPBL的比賽能夠更加精采、更有競爭力!
