The Origin Story of Superman

Jerry Segal and Joe Schuster, two friends from Cleveland, were inspired by their love for science fiction and storytelling to create the very first superhero, Superman. Born out of their passion and friendship, Jerry wrote the words while Joe created the images. Their first comic strip together was called Interplanetary Police, but it didn't gain much success. However, in 1933, they came up with the idea of Superman, a character with super strength, speed, and various powers. They sketched out a pitch for the comic, but it initially failed. Nevertheless, they continued working on it, incorporating elements from their own lives into Superman's origin story.
