Wheel of Time Spoilers 145 - TDR - Ch47 To Race the Shadow

Tallanvor admonishes the guard who sent Mat away while they're on their way out. When Mat returns to the Queen's Blessing, he abruptly announces that he'll be leaving for Tear as soon as he can pack his bags and get some food in his stomach. In the conversation that ensues, Master Gil gives Mat some information about Lord Gaebril, Thom gives him some advice, Mat reveals what he learned in the palace, and Thom ultimately agrees to travel to Tear with Mat to warn the Hunters Three about the price on their heads. We spend some time on the varied plans of each Forsaken, and how they use Tel'aran'rhiod to control large groups of people through their dreams – an important theme through the series, but especially in The Dragon Reborn, and the Shadow Rising.
