SHOW NOTES:
Topic 1 - Welcome to the show. Tell us about your background…
Topic 2 - As someone who helps tech folks with their careers, what is the state of the industry? The news is filled almost daily with layoffs. What advice do you have for folks in 2025?
Topic 3 - Many of our listeners are technical folks who are senior in their careers. Some (like me) struggle to that next step up where the game changes dramatically, and it’s a bit of a deep, dark secret in our industry at times. Tell everyone about that and the jump in thinking
Topic 4 - Brian and I talk to a lot of folks in our industry on an ongoing basis. I feel like the conversations from the last few years can fit in a few buckets but all under a common theme. Many have an idea of where they want to go in the industry or maybe they did and now they aren’t sure due to work from home, changing family dynamics etc. How do you coach folks to find that happy medium. Not everyone gets or wants to be a CEO. What do you balance and how do you balance this
Topic 5 - As we’ve discussed, we met last year and you helped land my with my current role. The tech hiring process, especially for leadership roles has changed in recent years. How should everyone approach the interview process?
Topic 6 - All of this can be overwhelming if approached all at once, what advice do you have on how to break things down and tackle what matters most
Topic 7 - If anyone out there is interested, where can they go for more info or to contact you?
