Memorizing Chapter & Verse Numbers in the Bible (is it necessary??)

The original scrolls and manuscripts of Biblical text don't have chapter and verse divisions...so why are they there now? Today, we're going to answer three interesting questions for those of us who are memorizing the BIble:

• Is it important to memorize the chapter and verse numbers?
• Where did these division even come from?
• What are some tips and techniques to help us memorize the exact verse number easily?
