We have often villainized social media, but knowing the artist, poet, and author Morgan Harper Nichols is an honest testament to the power of the platform to be used for good. “All Along You Were Blooming,” is an illustrated collection of poetry and prose from Morgan who has collaborated with brands like Coach, Adobe, LiveNation, and Aerie. Her MHN stamped poetry and art continue to get shared by her 1.4 million followers and beyond.

But before she found her footing, Morgan had to deal with what most of us might have experienced at some point in our lives: insecurity and thinking we’re never good enough in comparison to our peers. In this episode, Morgan talks to me about her very raw pluck ups, like not getting the songwriter career she wanted, and how she’s impacting the lives of young people through her creative work (which also involves turning DMs into profound art!)
