Even the Longest Life is a Short Ride

Life runs fast. It moves swiftly. Time passes quickly. 

No matter who you are and where you live and what you do, we all end up as not much more than a pile of ashes in a metal urn or as a bunch of bones under six feet of soil.

Sorry to be so graphic yet not really so sorry. Because reminding you of your mortality is a powerful way to ensure that you live more urgently [in a world full of so many distractions and trivial diversions that our finest moments are stolen from us like a bandit hijacks an unsuspecting traveller, late into the wayfaring night].

So cherish the good that Fortune has sent your way. Celebrate your days in the sunshine. Embrace the life you have worked so hard to create.
