Dana Spain describes herself as a serial entrepreneur. She gets bored easily and every five years or so is looking for a new endeavor, but the past 10 years she’s loved what she’s been doing.  Volumetric Building Companies was started over 10 years ago, focused on the construction of residential modular construction. Dana and her family originally started with retail chains before progressing into real estate and development. Dana is currently the director of community relations for Volumetric Building Company. VBC is the “largest and most experienced multifamily modular company in the industry”.  Philanthropy is close to Dana’s heart, so the VBC Giving Foundation was a natural overflow for the company.

This nonprofit is dedicated to providing affordable housing for vulnerable populations. Their first project is Veteran Village in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a 47 unit new construction, modular building for veterans. Veterans are more likely to suffer homelessness than any other demographic. Veteran Village will provide a place for those veterans coming out of sheltering or transitional environments or really any veteran that needs an affordable place to live. Learn more below.
