Your brain is not wired for balance. Your brain is wired for polarization. Your brain loves black and white all or nothing thinking and in all aspects of life, your brain wants you to pick a side and to not entertain that the opposite could be true. This is what quiets the cognitive dissonance between possibilities and creates the certainty that your brain is always seeking. This is even true in the way that we think about money which becomes problematic because when you’re not thinking about money in a balanced way, you will not have an emotional experience with money that is balanced which means you won’t manage your finances in a balanced way. You will live in the extremes, in the all or nothing, which closes you off to new possibilities and reaching your highest potential.
