With over 25 years of broadcast experience, Meyers joined the New Orleans Pelicans after spending six seasons with Los Angeles Lakers as their TV play-by-play announcer (2005-11) and two seasons as the team’s radio play-by-play announcer (2003-2005). Joel earned two Emmy awards during his time as the Lakers’ TV play-by-play announcer and served four years working as the voice of the San Antonio Spurs’ television broadcast before heading to Los Angeles.
