This lecture discusses the science fiction and fantasy author, Ursula K. Leguin's novel, The Farthest Shore, the third of six Earthsea books It focuses specifically on the great dragon Orm Embar, who seeks out the archmage Ged on the open sea, in order to ask his help in dealing with the new dragonlord who has taken voice and reason away from many of dragonkind.
