2021 was yet another turbulent year, to say the least. However, despite COVID-19 outbreaks at major airports, ongoing capacity struggles and numerous supply chain disruptions, the airfreight industry has remained resilient and flexible through innovative solutions and changes to typical operations. Freight forwarders launched own-controlled networks, industry operators adopted new technologies to provide greater transparency throughout the supply chain, and industry acquisitions were on the rise.
