Episode notes
Why The Chiefs Feel Like A Stay-Away Team
- Bill Simmons sees Kansas City entering a transition year after missed drafts, Rashee Rice’s situation, an aging Travis Kelce, and uncertainty around Andy Reid.
- He avoids Chiefs bets because an ordinary 10–11-win season feels more plausible than another dominant run.
Kansas City’s New Formula Could Unlock Mahomes
- Nick Wright compares the reworked Chiefs to 2022, when Mahomes thrived behind a good line and an improving defense despite replacing Tyreek Hill.
- Kenneth Walker could force defenses out of six-man boxes, creating easier passing conditions for Mahomes.
Kevin Wilds Vomited From Half A Cigarette
- Nick Wright recounts Kevin Wilds smoking half a cigarette during a group dinner and vomiting during his Uber ride home.
- Wilds’ aversion to group dinners, cigarettes, and lingering social plans becomes an affectionate portrait of his unusual personality.
