It’s easy to turn to blame in conflicts, moving to anger and issuing blame on others for the divisiveness that is so pervasive today. There is a critical step many people miss, and that is to first look deeply at ourselves – practicing “radical self-inquiry,” and consider the ways any of us have been complicit in, and benefited from, conditions we say we’d like to change or even abhor. Only then can we begin to see and shift the effects of untended, unhealed wounds and beliefs on those we lead.
