From Social Security to crypto scams, it appears we live in what Patrick Boyle calls “A golden age of fraud.”
The sense that the rules don’t apply, and you can get rich by any means necessary has caused a breakdown in social order. Stores are looted, and citizens are robbed at gunpoint after being run off the road.
And it’s not just here in America. Yesterday an angry mob stormed an airport in Russia to find (and presumably murder) a plane full of Israelis who had just landed.
