Instead of drafting cards, everyone chooses a deck and gets straight to playing the Magic they enjoy. In this video, I'll show you my growing collection of battleboxes, explain how I choose decks and formats, and share how you can build one without spending a fortune.**My battleboxes include:**- **Premodern:** Pet decks and metagame favorites for events and casual get-togethers- **Pauper:** Affordable constructed decks across a living format- **Classic Legacy:** A chance to revisit older Legacy decks and strategies- **Peak Modern:** My personal, locked-in-time version of Modern, built around the decks and gameplay my friends and I loveI'll also cover how I use Moxfield to organize decklists and wishlists, TradeMagic to exchange cards, proxies to keep costs down, and my existing collection to give forgotten cards a second life.**In this video:**- What a battlebox is and why constructed players might love one- How to choose a format and decide which decks belong- Why locked-in-time formats make battleboxes easier to maintain- How to keep the project affordable with proxies and cards you already own- How to organize your collection and track missing cards- Why building decks can be as rewarding as playing them- How to create a shared Magic experience for friends and travel- My Peak Modern rules and the decks I've includedYou don't need to build 44 decks. Start with one format and a handful of decks you love. The goal is to build something you'll actually play.If you're tired of chasing every new release, a battlebox might be the perfect way to get more out of the cards you already own.**What format would you build a battlebox for, and which decks absolutely have to be in it?** Let me know in the comments!Subscribe to Eternal Durdles for Legacy, Premodern, format curation, deckbuilding, and more ways to play the Magic you love.TCGPLAYER AFFILIATE LINK:https://partner.tcgplayer.com/OexAAnJOIN US ON DISCORD: https://discord.gg/hrC7PxQZTEProudly supported by Three For One Trading: shop.threeforonetrading.comRiverside Partner Link: https://riverside.sjv.io/KB0E07MOXFIELDEternal Durdles Moxfield: https://www.moxfield.com/users/EternalDurdleshttps://www.moxfield.com/users/Durdlemagushttps://www.moxfield.com/users/ForceofPhilChannel Art Assets by: https://www.instagram.com/jonthetallone/
