•  Netflix (NFLX) -
• Shares were up about 6% following better-than-expected quarterly sales reported Thursday afternoon. Guidance was mixed.
• Analysts who cover Netflix largely remained neutral on the stock following the results.

• Macy's (M) -
• A sympathy play following concerning guidance out of Nordstrom (JWN).
• Nordstrom shares were down about 5% on the lowered guidance; Macy's shares were set to open Friday's session down about 2%.
• Paramount (PARA) -
• A sympathy play with Netflix.
• Shares of Paramount were up about 1% in pre-market action Friday. Traders clump Paramount in with Netflix and the streaming group.
• Planet Fitness (PLNT) -
• The stock closed down about 3% on Thursday following a short report from Bear Cave Research's Edwin Dorsey.
• DA Davidson analyst Linda Bolton Weiser issued a note Thursday afternoon opposing the points made in the short report. The analyst noted the short seller's "fundamental knowledge [about Planet Fitness] seems low."
• AppHarvest (APPH) -
• A momentum name from Friday morning. Shares were up nearly 20% following news the company began shipments from a new facility in Kentucky.
